Gibbsy talks, Hotty linked away, El Rufai and our Younglings dumped out of †нє FA Youth Cup
Thank God its Friday.
†нє day were all normal businesses come to a close after five good working days. Football however is not the type of business that closes on Fridays. A player’s job is simple…..play when your fixture comes up. Its not †нє FA’s business because they do not really give two hoots. All they require from a manager is to assemble 11 players that will undergo a certain task for 90 minutes. PDP clubs like †нє Red Hell Owners and †нє Cashlings can get up to 100 minutes especially when they play at home. †нє CMOM billionaires can attest to Micheal “OwLittle” Owen’s last gasp win.
Andrei “Hotty” Arshavin has been linked to †нє only other club he has played club football before, Leningrad FC. Football Manager 2011 indicates that Hotty is a “legend” there.
He broke into †нє Leningrad FC setup at †нє tender age of 18 amassing 238 league appearances and scoring 51 league goals over a period of 10 years.
He won †нє Russian Premier League in 2007, Russian Super Cup in 2008, UEFA Cup (now Europa League) in 2008 and his brilliance inspired Leningrad FC to beat †нє Red Hell Owners in †нє UEFA Super Cup in 2008.
He has also won some individual awards like †нє Russian League Player’s Select in 2006, Russian League Manager’s Select in 2006 and Russian Player of †нє Year in 2006.
His best footballing period was from 2006-2008. Why can’t he invoke that spirit to help his cause now?
Thanks Leningrad FC but no thanks, he’s our Hotty not yours anymore. We believe he’ll “come good” soon enough.
Kieran “Ogo Gibbsy” Gibbs started out as a left winger in †нє reserves. After being watched closely by AW †нє Alchemist, he got his lucky break in †нє 2008/09 season because †нє deputy for †нє injury stricken Gael “Flash” Clichy was utter shite. He’s plying his trade with †нє Old Lady right now. His only attribute is his blistering pace. Gooner Daily calls him Armand “Speedy” Traore.
Ogo Gibbsy usurped Speedy to become †нє number 2 left back and he put up some encouraging performances. Although it took me a very long time to forgive him after he slipped on †нє turf thereby allowing Choi Yun-Park to score us that goal in †нє Champions League semis 2nd leg in †нє 2008/09 season.
Ogo Gibbsy did very well in †нє 2009/10 season then suffered a horrific metatarsal injury in †нє 2-0 win against Standard Liege. That kept him out for 7 months.
This campaign, he has had his fair share of injuries so he decided that it was high time he talked to †нє Media Vultures about it.
He says,”i’ve been in and out and i haven’t played many games on †нє trot, so I’m just looking to keep injury free and stay on top”
He also said that it has been frustrating to watch his teammates on †нє sidelines. Gael “Flash” Clichy can count himself lucky that Ogo Gibbsy was out when he was having a torrid time with †нє Arsenal Self Destruct chip implanted in his brain. I also heard that †нє operation to remove †нє chip from Flash’s brain was somewhat successful. †нє doc said that there may be “side effects”. Flash’s performances of recent have been superb.
He’s now playing like †нє Flash that entered †нє PFA Team of †нє Year in †нє 2007/08 season.
†нє 2007/08 PFA right back of †нє year, Bacary “Timaya” Sagna has been †нє most consistent player at †нє club in his past 4 seasons or so. His performances have been “evergreen”. It’s good to see that he has started adding goals to his game. He was one of †нє Frenchies that stood out from †нє crowd in a disappointing World Cup campaign under †нє tutelage of †нє ArseCrater Domenech. I’m still very unhappy that Canal + or L’ Equipe has not reported that he has been sodomised by an angry bear. He needs to go to †нє Woods more often.
Timaya told †нє Vultures that his teammate and compatriot, Samir “El Rufai” Nasri is a serious contender for †нє Player of †нє Year award and he’s right about that. †нє only players that have been as outstanding as El Rufai in †нє league this season are Twitch FC’s Gareth “World’s best left-footed Chimpanzee” Bale and CMOM billionaires Carlos “Carlitos †нє Dracula” Tevez.
Out of †нє 14 goals he has notched up this season, 9 have been scored in †нє league.
El Rufai is a level-headed individual and I’m very confident that he’ll surpass †нє 20-goal mark and he may even set his sights on †нє 30-goal mark.
Even Zinedine “Zizou” Zidane has labeled him †нє “star” of France. I can’t wait to see what he does on †нє World stage when †нє Frenchies qualify for †нє European Championships in 2012. Another country has to reclaim †нє Earth’s glory from those BarcAliens at Spain. Let’s hope that †нє World will not end before †нє European Championships.
I forgot..†нє tourney is in †нє summer while †нє World will end on †нє 21st of December, 2012. Hope you have your €1,000,000,000.
Our younglings were knocked out of †нє FA Youth Cup by †нє Cashlings younglings.
†нє game was marred by a horrific ankle injury suffered by our young midfielder Nico Yennaris.
This tweets explain †нє entire game better.
“RT @dKingpin: @goonerdaily we lost. 2-1 same problem with the 1st team. defending. game of 2 halves. Yennaris broke his ankle. bad tackle from them”
“RT @dKingpin: @goonerdaily Disappointing night from Arsenal. Martínez GK d only real positive. Meade, Özyakup, Aneke and Afobe only dangerous in patches.”
†нє winning goal was scored by a young slovak winger called Milan Lalkovic. I took out time to check his attributes on FM 2011.
“First touch: 11, Crossing: 8, Acceleration 14, Finishing 9, Balance 8…….”
That’s †нє bloke that sent us out of †нє FA Youth Cup.
†нє beastly One is about to sign a new deal with †нє Blue and White Rugby boys so all fingers are pointing to Up Up Matty’s direction. AW †нє Alchemist, please prove me wrong.
†нє match preview against WigWig will be posted in tomorrow’s blog.
Thank God its Friday
