Arsenal have been in good form over the past couple of games with a resounding 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest and last night, Mikel Arteta’s men ran Sporting CP ragged with a breathtaking performance in the Champions League.
Late on, Arsenal brought on talented youngster, Ethan Nwaneri, as a substitute for Martin Odegaard and even if he didn’t get on the score sheet like he did against Nottingham Forest, Nwaneri put up another great cameo performance, and expectations are high for the young Englishman. Nwaneri scored a brace in the 5-1 decimation of Bolton Wanderers and curled in a superb strike in the EFL Cup Fourth Round against Preston North End.
Speaking of young Englishmen, Sunderland’s starlet, Chris Rigg, has been one of the revelations of the new season, scoring three goals in 17 appearances for the Black Cats in this campaign. Rigg has featured predominantly as a midfielder for Sunderland, but his versatility has seen him feature in other positions within the team, showing his great value to the side.

According to Give Me Sport, Arsenal are eyeing up a potential move for Chris Rigg.
It is also believed that there are other Premier League clubs interested in signing the youngster, with Brentford, Crystal Palace and West Ham sending scouts to watch Rigg in action. This has been a breakthrough campaign for Rigg and the Black Cats would be hoping he stays for the foreseeable future, even though they face a losing battle in that regard.
