Thoughts on Arsenal’s links with Benjamin Sesko

With Arsenal struggling to score goals, coupled with the long-term injuries to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus, the Gunners have been linked with a potential transfer for RB Leipzig’s striking sensation, Benjamin Sesko.

Arsenal were linked with a move for Sesko last summer, but RB Leipzig rejected the offer and even offered the Slovenian striker a new contract. As expected, several high profile names have been mentioned with the likes of the in-demand hot shot, Viktor GyokeresAlexander Isak and even Aston Villa’s modern-day version of Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, Jhon Duran.

The 21-year-old forward has scored 18 goals in 37 games for club and country, with his most prolific form coming in the UEFA Nations League with four goals in four games for Slovenia. In the Bundesliga, Sesko has scored eight goals and created two assists from 17 appearances.

According to Football Talk, Arsenal have been tipped to make a sensational bid for Benjamin Sesko.

The Gunners have struggled to find the back of the net this season and this lack of quality in front of goal has been badly exposed. Signing a player like Sesko will sure up things in attack, as he will offer a different dynamic from what is available at the club’s disposal. The Gunners have been heavily reliant on Kai Havertz for goals, with Gabriel Jesus failing to support adequately, especially with his long-term injury, the Gunners are desperately light in attack.
