Crystal Palace face Rayo Vallecano in Leipzig on Wednesday night, with Europe’s third-tier trophy at stake in a Premier League versus La Liga showdown.
It is the first European final in Crystal Palace’s history, coming in their very first continental campaign as a club.
Palace reached the showpiece event by defeating Shakhtar Donetsk in the semi-finals, while Rayo Vallecano beat Strasbourg to reach their first-ever major final.
For manager Oliver Glasner, the match represents another opportunity to add to an impressive European coaching record dating back to 2022.
The Austrian previously guided Eintracht Frankfurt to the Europa League title and now seeks to deliver a landmark moment for Crystal Palace.
Glasner arrives at the final having already won the FA Cup and Community Shield in 2025, meaning victory would give him a third trophy in just 12 months.
Palace’s path through the competition has included victories over Zrinjski Mostar, AEK Larnaca, Fiorentina and Shakhtar, accumulating 25 goals across the tournament.
Their 14 goals in the knockout rounds alone is the best tally in the entire competition, highlighting a formidable attacking threat throughout the latter stages.
Domestically, Palace struggled badly, going winless in their final four Premier League matches and finishing the season in 15th place.
Their last league game ended in a 2-1 defeat at champions Arsenal, underlining the contrast between their European excellence and domestic inconsistency this season.
Rayo Vallecano, managed by Iñigo Pérez, missed out on a top-seven La Liga finish by a single point behind Getafe, making this final their only route back into European competition.
A victory in Leipzig would also mark Rayo’s first return to continental competition since their only previous UEFA Cup appearance in the 2000-01 season.
The Conference League final kicks off at 8pm BST and can be watched live on TNT Sports 1 in the United Kingdom.
Fans without a TNT Sports subscription can also access the match through HBO Max, available via Amazon’s Prime Video channels, with the Basic With Ads plan priced at £4.99.
BBC Radio 5 Live and talkSPORT will also carry live commentary for those unable to watch the match on television.
