Lyon winger Malick Fofana has finally broken his silence after completing a dramatic deadline day transfer to Sunderland, with Arsenal having passed on signing him.
The 21-year-old had been linked with a move to Arsenal in the January transfer window, with the Belgian winger agreeing personal terms with the Gunners during negotiations.
Lyon were reportedly seeking a fee in the region of €40 million, equating to approximately £34.2 million, for the highly-rated young attacker.

Fofana ultimately gave Sunderland the green light to proceed shortly before the transfer deadline, ending the uncertainty surrounding his future.
