The draw was conducted on Wednesday evening on Sky Sports, taking place after the third-round fixture between Manchester United and Brighton and Hove Albion concluded.

Arsenal were the second team drawn out, confirming a trip to face Fleetwood Town, who booked their own place in the fourth round by beating Sheffield United thanks to an own goal.
