England Face Norway In High-Stakes World Cup Clash At Miami Stadium

England and Norway meet today in Miami for what is the penultimate World Cup match to be staged in the South Florida metro area.

The fixture takes place at Hard Rock Stadium, which has been officially renamed Miami Stadium for the duration of the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament.

The stadium is located at 347 Don Shula Drive in Miami Gardens, Florida, and has served as one of the premier venues of this summer’s competition.

Miami is acting as one of eleven United States host cities for the tournament, alongside Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Kansas City, Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia and East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The 2026 World Cup is the largest in the history of the tournament, featuring 104 matches spread across 16 cities in three nations: Mexico, Canada and the United States.

The competition got underway on June 11 with Group A fixtures in Mexico City, where host nation Mexico faced South Africa in the opening game.

Miami Stadium is scheduled to host a total of seven World Cup matches, making it one of the busiest and most significant venues of the entire tournament.

Earlier games at the venue included Saudi Arabia versus Uruguay on June 15, Uruguay versus Cabo Verde on June 21, Brazil versus Scotland on June 24 and Colombia versus Portugal on June 27.

Today’s match between England and Norway represents the sixth of Miami’s seven allocated fixtures, with a quarter-final and a bronze medal final still to follow at the ground.

The quarter-final at Miami Stadium is scheduled for July 11, with the bronze final set to take place on July 18, just one day before the tournament concludes on July 19.

Fans unable to attend in person will want to check broadcast listings to ensure they do not miss what promises to be a compelling round-of-32 encounter between two competitive European nations.

The broader tournament has captured global attention throughout the summer, with matches played across a vast stretch of North America drawing enormous crowds and television audiences worldwide.

England and Norway both enter this fixture knowing that a place in the next round of the expanded 48-team competition is firmly on the line in South Florida.
