Manchester City are ‘definitely interested’ in getting their hands on Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala who is also an Arsenal target.

The 21-year-old Germany midfielder is one of the most highly-rated young talents in world football and has been on the radar of some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

He has less than two years left on his contract and Bayern Munich are preparing to open talks over a new deal with the midfielder and his representatives soon.

The German giants are desperate to make sure that he doesn’t enter the final year of his current deal, which could put pressure on them to sell the player next summer.

However, there are suggestions that Bayern Munich could consider selling him and use the proceeds from his sale to fund a move for Florian Wirtz in 2025.

The Arsenal target is ‘definitely’ on the radar of Manchester City

Arsenal are amongst the clubs who are believed to be keen to take the former Chelsea academy starlet back to England at the end of next season.

Mikel Arteta is prepared to spend big on one of the club’s top targets but they are likely to face stiff competition for his signature from Premier League champions Manchester City.

According to t-online’s Deputy Editor-in-chief Florian Wichert, Manchester City are definitely interested in signing the Bayern Munich midfielder.

It has been claimed that Bayern Munich might want to sell Musiala in 2025 if they do not make progress in talks over a new deal with his representatives.

The German giants also have their eyes on Wirtz and Bayer Leverkusen are unlikely to sell him if they do not receive a massive offer on their table.

Wichert has reckoned Bayern Munich could fund a move for the Leverkusen star by selling Musiala for a transfer fee in the region of €100m or more in the summer of 2025.
