Club aware Arsenal star will be ‘most difficult to sign’ next summer

Real Madrid are aware of the difficulties they are likely to face if they try to get their hands on Arsenal defender William Saliba in the summer of 2025.

The 23-year-old French defender has emerged as one of the top young centre-backs in Europe through his performances for Arsenal over the last couple of seasons.

He was part of the meanest defense in the Premier League last season and is expected to play a key role if Arsenal have to win the league in the 2024/25 campaign.

However, his performances have also attracted the attention of some of the big wigs of European football and Real Madrid have their eyes on him.

The reigning European champions are eyeing signing the defender as part of their plans to spend big in the summer of 2025.

Real Madrid aware it would be hard to snare Saliba away from Arsenal

According to the Independent, Saliba has been identified as one of the top targets for Real Madrid for next year as they plan to spend big next summer.

Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold is the other Premier League star the club are eyeing with his contract at Anfield expiring at the end of the season.

However, Real Madrid are aware that Saliba will be the ‘most difficult to sign’ if they make a move to land the defender at the end of the ongoing campaign.

Arsenal have emerged as one of the top contenders in England over the last two seasons and their burgeoning reputation is a problem for Real Madrid.

The Frenchman is their top target but Real Madrid have identified alternatives if they fail to snare the defender away from Arsenal.

Tottenham’s Cristian Romero is being looked at as an alternative by Real Madrid if they do not succeed in signing Saliba.

Arsenal are hopeful that they will be able to convince the Frenchman to ignore the lure of the famous white shirt in favour of staying at the Emirates.
