Ousmane Dembele has been left out of the Paris Saint-Germain squad that will be travelling to London to take on Arsenal in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Arsenal needed some late drama to beat Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday and have turned their focus towards European football this week.
The Gunners will be taking on the French champion, PSG, in the second game of their Champions League campaign after drawing the first game 0-0 at Atalanta.
Arsenal will be looking to score all three points and get their European campaign going with a big win over a side of PSG’s quality and they will not have to contend with one of the Parisian stars.
Dembele will not be coming to England to participate in PSG’s Champions League clash against the Gunners at the Emirates.
Dembele falls out with PSG coach ahead of Arsenal clash
PSG beat Rennes 3-1 at home this weekend but the aftermath of the game saw Dembele having a fallout with Luis Enrique.
According to French sports daily L’Equipe, during a post-match debrief, the PSG coach criticised the winger for some of the choices he made during the game.
It led to the two having a heated war of words regarding his performance and the PSG coach didn’t appreciate the way Dembele spoke with him.
The winger has been left out of the PSG squad to face Arsenal due to disciplinary reasons and he will be watching the match from the comforts of his home.
It remains to be seen whether this behind-the-scene drama has any effect on the PSG squad ahead of the big game against Arsenal.
Arsenal will look to ignore the off-field drama and look to make sure that they beat the Parisians on the pitch at the Emirates on Tuesday night.
Enrique will be under pressure to get a result after making the big decision of leaving Dembele out of the squad completely.
