Arsenal shared a recent video clip on Instagram revealing an update on Martin Odegaard’s fitness.
Arsenal’s captain has been out for the best part of a month, and the team has soldiered on without him.
His guile, agility, persistence to lead the press and most importantly, his creativity has been a huge miss but in his absence, it’s fair to say that the lads have done pretty well.
When should we expect Odegaard?
Seeing Odegaard using that anti-gravity treadmill was a pleasant sight and I was happy to see that there was no swelling on his ankle. If you recall, Arsenal had to craftily put a football in front of Odegaard’s ankle during the team’s photo shoot, further speculating that he had a swollen ankle from the impact injury suffered during the Nation’s League clash against Austria.
The initial prognosis was that Odegaard was going to be out for eight weeks, and right now, we are half way there.
With the team playing really well in his stead, I’d expect Mikel Arteta to be very cautious with Odegaard, so we might not see him in action for another four weeks. However, the captain has been optimistic that he’d be back soon.
