Bournemouth 2-0 Arsenal: Player Ratings

 After a long wait for the fitness of Arsenal players, Mikel Arteta setup a team that took on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium. In the end, Bournemouth ran out as 2-0 winners thanks to some carelessness and errors from the away side.  

Without further ado, here are the player ratings.

Defense

David Raya – Did well to make some claims, but his distribution left a lot to be desired. (6)

Ben White – Struggled with the threat he faced from the Bournemouth left wingers and got exposed. (6)

Gabriel – Made a couple of interceptions and recoveries. (6)

William Saliba – His lack of agility was exposed and he let his team down with the red card. (5)

Midfield

Thomas Partey – Ticked along really nice in midfield and made some key passes to progress the ball. (7)

Declan Rice – Was industrious in midfield and worked hard due to Arsenal’s numerical advantage. (7)

Mikel Merino – Misplaced some of his passes and should have finished the great chance he had. (6)

Forwards

Raheem Sterling – Executed a lot of take-ons and provided a cut back that would have led to an Arsenal goal. (6)

Leandro Trossard – Caused the careless pass that led to the Arsenal unfortunate red card. (5)

Kai Havertz – Worked with his build up play but failed to create any considerable threat. (6)

Substitutes

Gabriel Martinelli – Should have scored a goal with the massive chance that was fed to him on a platter. (6)

Ethan Nwaneri and Gabriel Jesus – Didn’t play long enough to get ratings.
