Former Chelsea winger calls Liverpool ‘unbeatable’ ahead of Arsenal game

Arsenal will host Liverpool on Sunday at the Emirates, in what is sure to be a defining game in this season’s Premier League title race.

Arsenal and Liverpool are two of the top three teams in the league this season. After their loss to Bournemouth last week, the gunners will head into the top of the table clash four points behind the Reds.

The Merseyside club have won seven of their first eight Premier League games.

Arsenal have lost just one game this season, after they went down to 10 men at the Vitality Stadium. The gunners ended the game with 10men for the third time in the league this season during the loss to the Cherries.

After the game, Thomas Partey urged his teammates to keep their heads during games because Arsenal have dominated every game with 11 men this season.

Arne Slot has won 11 out of his first 12 games in charge at Anfield, the first time in the club’s history. The Reds have the fourth most goals in the Premier League, and have conceded just three goals so far.

Former Everton and Chelsea player Pat Nevin has praised the Reds for their start to the season:

“Liverpool were kind of managing this game, but that might be a really good thing.

“If you are having this sort of run and nowhere near peaking yet, that’s real good news.” Nevin said on BBC Radio 5Live.

“Arne Slot’s aware of it. There’s more to come from this team, but you wouldn’t think so from the results.

“Liverpool picked up when they needed to and looked very, very good. They are not quite there yet, but then you look at the Premier League and Champions League tables and you can’t say anything negative.”

Nevin then warned other Premier League teams to fear the Reds, because they are playing at a level above everyone.

“Arne Slot says judge us after the end of November, because he thinks they will be playing better then. Maybe the rest of the Premier League will have to be worried because they are almost unbeatable.

“Liverpool fans have seen their team play better than this, but they haven’t seen a better run than this.”

Ahead of Sunday’s game, Arsenal have received a huge boost as Mikel Arteta revealed some key players will be fit to play. Arne Slot’s side on the other hand have to deal with injuries, including Alisson who is set to be out till December.
