Arsenal eyeing up move for massive Serie A star

Arsenal might look to Serie A for their next attacking signing according to reports.

The Gunners have failed to provide attacking depth since they became legitimate title contenders. Bukayo Saka has had to play almost every game over the past two seasons. Any time the England international misses games, the gunners usually suffer to create chances.

Mikel Arteta sold Emile Smith Rowe and loaned out Fabio Vieira and Reiss Nelson. Three players who could have been useful this season.

The Spaniard also made Raheem Sterling a priority when he became available in the summer:

“We discussed a few other things but when I see a player that is genuinely willing to come to the club, prove a point and be part of something that he has seen from the outside that is motivating and inspiring him, I said he needs to be here.”

According to a report from Caught Offside, Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in signing Juventus star Kenan Yildiz.

The Turkish youngster has two goals and two assists in nine games for Juventus in Serie A this season. Adding Yildiz to this current Arsenal team would bring a lot of quality to the frontline.

The gunners have leaned heavily on Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard when Bukayo Saka was out. Even though they have all contributed to crucial results during that period, the fans would argue that more quality is needed.

Who is Kenan Yildiz?

Yildiz made his first team debut for Juventus in December 2023 after spending a few years with the Italian club’s developmental side, Juventus Next Gen.

The 19-year old is a senior international for Turkey, and scored in a shock win over Germany last year. Yildiz is highly rated at Juventus, and club legend Alessandro Del Piero backed him to shine for the club:

“Very good with the first touch and aiming at the opponent. He has a very precise and strong shot, he puts it where no one else can reach. A spectacular goal for how he thought it. Congratulations. He took the responsibility of wearing the number 10 shirt, he should be supported and waited for. He has qualities and he is showing what he should show off.”

Arsenal would have to pay a huge fee for the youngster, who has five years left on his contract and is seen as the crown jewel of the club.
