Arsenal could sign £96m “dribbling monster”

Arsenal are keen to sign a winger in the transfer window, as the club has seen star player, Bukayo Saka, miss a couple of games through injury.

The Gunners have failed to find an adequate backup for their talismanic winger and despite the acquisition of Raheem Sterling on loan, the attacking output has not been good enough.

The Leeds Press reported that Arsenal are interested in signing Raphinha from Barcelona, but with the Brazilian playing his best football right now and even wearing the armband for the Catalan giants on several occasions this season, it’s unlikely he may want to leave in midweek, especially with Barcelona challenging for the Spanish La Liga and Champions League.

According to Football Fan Cast, Arsenal is interested in signing a wonderkid from Sao Paulo, William Gomes.

The 18-year-old winger has some similar traits to Spanish Kopa Trophy winner, Lamine Yamal, and he has an astronomical release clause which is close to £100 million pounds. Gomes joined Sao Paolo’s youth academy in 2021 and has consistently featured in the Brazilian youth teams.

He’s known for being a ‘dribbling monster’ with his great close control and exceptional technique. He has scored two goals in 12 appearances for Sao Paolo, with Gomes featuring predominantly from the wings.

His release clause is quite expensive and I have my reservations of Arsenal acquiring his services.
