Arsenal gaffer, Mikel Arteta, has provided some vital updates regarding the fitness of his star defender, Gabriel.
“Gabriel Magalhaes has trained with the team and he could be available for Everton.”
“Unfortunately, Riccardo Calafiori is not ready yet”
Gabriel has not played since Arsenal’s resounding win over West Ham, missing out on the wins against Manchester United and AS Monaco, as well as the drab draw against Fulham.
In his absence, Arsenal has played Jakub Kiwior alongside William Saliba and so far, the Polish defender has done okay, and almost had an assist in the last game when his amazing cross field ball was controlled well by Gabriel Jesus but not dispatched accordingly.
Gabriel has been one of the central figures in the team and his partnership with Saliba has been one of the best in Europe. He also is a great threat from set pieces, which Arsenal has used as one of their best sources of scoring a goal.
We will keep our fingers crossed and hope the Brazilian returns to first team action tomorrow when Everton arrives at the Emirates Stadium.
