Defense
David Raya – Was relatively untested and was blameless for the Brighton penalty conceded. (6)
Thomas Partey – Played okay but didn’t do enough to support the attack due to his lack of agility. (6)
William Saliba – Did okay and was very unfortunate to the Brighton penalty conceded. (7)
Gabriel – Quelled the threat that Joao Pedro posed. (7)
Riccardo Calafiori – Put up a solid display from the left hand side of the defense. (7)
Midfield
Jorginho – Not a performance to be proud of as he was caught out of possession on several occasions. (5)
Declan Rice – Looked like the most advanced of the midfielder and ran his legs off. (6)
Mikel Merino – Created a brilliant assist for Nwaneri and missed a big chance to give Arsenal some breathing space. (7)
Forwards
Ethan Nwaneri – Took his goal very well, but conceded possession a lot against Brighton players. Feel sad for him following confirmation of his injury. (7)
Leandro Trossard – Was booed out of the building by Brighton fans but did nothing to shut them up. (6)
Gabriel Jesus – Was starved off supporting from his teammates and didn’t fashion any chances for himself. (6)
Substitutes
Gabriel Martinelli – Didn’t replicate his form of the previous games. (6)
Martin Odegaard – Wasn’t fit enough to start and didn’t influence the game as he would have hoped. (6)
