The Minnesota Timberwolves delivered one of their most complete performances of the 2025-26 season on March 31, dismantling the Dallas Mavericks 124-94 on the road at American Airlines Center. It was a dominant wire-to-wire victory built on elite shooting, relentless fast-break basketball and a bench unit that outscored Dallas’ reserves by a stunning margin.
Minnesota shot 53.1 percent from the field and a scorching 45.2 percent from three-point range, overwhelming a Dallas defence that had no answer for the Wolves’ pace or their interior presence. Ayo Dosunmu was the story of the game, however. The former Chicago Bull produced a triple-double with 18 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists while shooting 61.5 percent from the field. His assist-to-turnover ratio of 12-to-1 was remarkable, and he generated 11 fast-break points, constantly pushing the tempo before Dallas could set its defence. He finished as a plus-30, the highest mark on either side.
Anthony Edwards added 17 points, four assists and shot 53.8 percent overall. Bones Hyland was sharp off the bench with 12 points and three assists, while Terrence Shannon Jr. chipped in four points on 66.7 percent shooting in limited minutes. Minnesota’s bench outscored Dallas’ by 12 points, a comfortable margin that reflected the depth advantage.
For Dallas, Daniel Gafford provided the only real bright spot, going for 21 points on 81.8 percent shooting while grabbing eight rebounds. His efficiency at the rim was superb, making 16 of his attempts at the basket, but the Mavericks’ perimeter players gave him almost no support. Klay Thompson shot just 12.5 percent from the field, finishing with five points on 1-of-8 shooting. Khris Middleton managed nine points but turned the ball over five times, the most of any player in the game.
