Chelsea Could Hand Xabi Alonso A £368.8m Transfer Warchest By Selling Enzo Fernandez And 11 Other Stars

Chelsea are preparing for another extremely busy summer transfer window, with significant movement expected both in and out of Stamford Bridge this season.

Incoming manager Xabi Alonso is set to be handed greater power over transfer decisions than his predecessors, working alongside the sporting leadership team to shape the squad.

Alonso will collaborate closely with Chelsea’s sporting leadership to build a competitive squad ahead of his debut season in charge at west London.

A total of 12 players have been identified as potential departures this summer, with their combined Transfermarkt valuations reaching £368.8million.

Enzo Fernandez tops the list, with Chelsea demanding a minimum of £120million before considering any sale of the Argentina international this summer.

Real Madrid’s interest in Fernandez is described as genuine, and sources have indicated the midfielder has expressed his desire to leave Stamford Bridge in the coming months.

Alejandro Garnacho, signed for £40million last summer from Manchester United, could depart for £34.6million, representing a £5.4million loss for the club.

Garnacho’s potential exit is further complicated by the imminent arrival of Geovany Quenda from Sporting CP, who is expected to feature prominently under Alonso.

Striker Liam Delap struggled badly in his debut campaign, scoring just two goals, and Chelsea may consider selling the 23-year-old despite reported desire from the player to stay.

Wesley Fofana, signed for £75million from Leicester City, could leave for just £24.2million after never fulfilling his potential and picking up two red cards in the 2025/26 season.

Marc Cucurella, valued at £43.3million, has attracted interest from Atletico Madrid and has hinted at a desire to return to Spain with two years remaining on his contract.

Malo Gusto, Filip Jorgensen, Tosin Adarabioyo, Romeo Lavia, Benoit Badiashile, Axel Disasi, and Marc Guiu make up the remainder of a list of players Chelsea are prepared to move on from this summer.

Lavia’s time at Chelsea has been plagued by injuries since his arrival, despite the club fending off competition from Liverpool to sign the Belgian midfielder.

Goalkeeper Jorgensen has made his desire to leave explicit following a face-to-face meeting with the club, seeking more first-team football than his backup role currently provides.

Young striker Guiu, valued at £10.3million, could be sold or loaned as the arrival of Emmanuel Emegha and a potential return for Nicolas Jackson pushes him further down the pecking order.
