PSG manager Luis Enrique has confirmed the club have no fresh injury concerns heading into the Champions League final against Arsenal.
Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes have both cleared their respective fitness hurdles and are in line to feature in Budapest.
Hakimi had picked up a hamstring problem during the semi-final first leg against Bayern Munich, keeping his availability in doubt.
Left-back Nuno Mendes has meanwhile been managing a dead leg sustained in the build-up to the final.
Enrique moved to put those concerns to rest, stating: “Hakimi and Nuno [Mendes] are okay, they are able to play tomorrow.”
Ousmane Dembele has also declared himself fully fit after recovering from a calf injury sustained in PSG’s final Ligue 1 fixture at Paris FC.
The Ballon d’Or winner told reporters in Hungary: “No, I wasn’t scared about missing the final. I stopped when I felt the niggle, and I had 10-15 days to get ready for the final. I am 100 per cent ready and raring to go.”
Dembele was generous in his assessment of the opposition, highlighting Arsenal’s quality across every department of the pitch.
He said of Mikel Arteta’s men: “Arsenal are a very good team, we’ve seen them winning the Premier League. They finished top of the Champions League phase, they have done very well and they deserve to be in the final. They play really good football and they excel in every area whether in defence or attack.”
Enrique himself acknowledged the fine margins that are likely to define such an evenly matched contest in Budapest.
He said of the Gunners: “Facing Arsenal in the final? It’s hard to know what the key moment of the match will be. It’s clear that there are very small differences between the two teams.”
The PSG boss also spoke with confidence about his side’s ability to handle pressure and adapt to any situation during the final.
He added: “The fine margins could become a real factor, we’re resilient, we know how to overcome problems and play in any scenario. We will make the most of the final with no fear and we’ll try to play at our best.”
Many observers have framed the final as a contest between PSG’s attacking threat and Arsenal’s defensive solidity, with the Premier League champions recording 33 clean sheets in all competitions this season.
That figure represents more clean sheets than any other side across Europe’s top-five leagues, underlining just how formidable Arsenal’s backline has been throughout the campaign.
PSG have had just under two weeks to prepare for the final, while Arsenal lifted the Premier League trophy at Crystal Palace as recently as last Sunday.
