Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi during the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a departure from the Italian club for several months, with speculation around his future continuing to grow.
According to a report from FC Inter News, Frattesi could be available for around €25 million, a figure Tottenham are said to be considering.
Frattesi featured just over 500 minutes of league football during Inter’s title-winning campaign, and he is now seeking a club that can offer him regular starting opportunities.
Tottenham have endured a difficult season, finishing 17th in the league table, and are in clear need of reinforcements in the middle of the park.
Adding creativity and drive to their midfield will be a priority this summer, and Frattesi is viewed as someone who could provide exactly that.
The relatively low asking price makes the deal achievable for Tottenham, and the prospect of regular Premier League football could appeal strongly to the Italian international.
Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi has previous experience working with Frattesi and has spoken highly of the midfielder on record.
There were also reports that De Zerbi had attempted to sign Frattesi during his time at Brighton, meaning this summer could represent a renewed push to land his target.
De Zerbi has been unambiguous in his praise for the player, previously describing him as a “top player” with outstanding qualities.
He said: “Frattesi is still a top player. He is a big, big player and he can play in the Premier League and everywhere because he has very important quality.”
If Tottenham can provide Frattesi with the assurances he needs over playing time, the move could suit both club and player heading into next season.
