Bukayo Saka, David Raya And Gabriel Martinelli Lead Arsenal To Champions League Final

Arsenal face Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday evening, marking only the second time in their 140-year history they have reached the showpiece.

Mikel Arteta has guided his side through eight league phase games and six knockout legs without suffering a single defeat across all 14 matches.

From dominant victories over elite opposition to hard-fought results, Arsenal have demonstrated both attacking brilliance and defensive resilience throughout the campaign.

The journey began with a 2-0 win at Athletic Club, where late substitutes Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard scored and assisted one another to secure the points.

Arsenal then defeated Olympiacos 2-0, with Martinelli tapping in before Bukayo Saka nutmegged the keeper from the left to secure six points from six games.

The 4-0 demolition of Atletico Madrid was a statement result, with Gabriel Magalhaes, Martinelli, and a Viktor Gyokeres brace routing their future semi-final opponents.

Arsenal equalled a 123-year record in Prague, securing an eighth successive clean sheet as Mikel Merino’s double and a Saka penalty delivered a commanding 3-0 victory.

A 3-1 win over Bayern Munich followed, with Noni Madueke volleying a Riccardo Calafiori cross before Martinelli rounded Manuel Neuer to score a memorable third goal.

Madueke again caught the eye in Brugge, breaking the deadlock with a stunning long-range strike in a 3-0 victory, with Martinelli also netting from outside the box.

Gabriel Jesus’ brace was the highlight of a 3-1 win at Inter Milan, cementing Arsenal’s place at the top of the league phase standings.

Kai Havertz announced his return from injury with a composed finish against Kairat Almaty, putting himself firmly in contention for a starting place in the final.

In the last-16, Havertz’s late penalty earned a 1-1 draw at Bayer Leverkusen before Eberechi Eze’s stunning volley from outside the box sealed a 2-0 home win to advance.

David Raya’s heroics kept Arsenal alive at Sporting CP before Havertz’s added-time finish secured a vital 1-0 win, which proved the decisive goal of the tie.

Atletico Madrid pushed Arsenal hard in the semi-finals, with a Ben White penalty incident and an Eze VAR decision causing anxiety before Gyokeres’ spot kick earned a 1-1 draw.

Leandro Trossard’s shot created the rebound that fell to Bukayo Saka, whose decisive goal in the 1-0 second-leg win sent Arsenal to Budapest to compete for the Champions League trophy.
