Chelsea Set £25m Price Tag On Axel Disasi With Roma And AC Milan Showing Interest

Chelsea are looking to finalise the permanent sale of defender Axel Disasi this summer, with the club setting a £25m asking price plus add-ons.

The Blues have been attempting to offload the central defender for three consecutive summers, having twice failed to find a buyer and resorting to loan moves instead.

Disasi spent last season on loan at West Ham, where he demonstrated he is more than capable of performing at Premier League level as a dependable box defender.

Chelsea now believe they are in a stronger position to sell permanently, having amortised enough of his contract to offer him out at a more palatable price for interested clubs.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the west London club want £25m plus add-ons for the former Monaco man, a figure that reflects his proven top-flight experience.

Both Roma and AC Milan have reportedly enquired about Disasi, though whether either Italian club would be willing to meet Chelsea’s full valuation remains to be seen.

The summer has already been a busy one at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea completing a record-breaking deal to sign Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa.

That move was quickly followed by Alejandro Garnacho heading in the opposite direction, moving to Villa Park as part of an active period of transfer business for the club.

With multiple deals being completed in quick succession, Chelsea appear determined to reshape their squad significantly before the transfer window closes.

Disasi’s situation looks more likely to be resolved this time around, with a reasonable asking price set and genuine European interest beginning to emerge.

If negotiations between Chelsea and their suitors progress, common ground on a final fee could realistically be found, bringing an end to the defender’s protracted Stamford Bridge saga.

The Blues will be hoping to get the deal over the line swiftly, allowing both the club and Disasi to move forward with clarity ahead of the new campaign.
