Everybody had fun yesterday with the April fool jokes and pranks here and there. I had my own April fool prank in my mind but I thought of my father’s age and decided not to do anything stupid. The worst part of it all was that a friend of mine used my blog to make an April fool joke.
“@Jayboogie_912: Enigma, your blog makes a lot of sense”
I replied, “@Enigma106: Thanks boss”
“@Jayboogie_912: Taaaaaa.. #Aprilfool”
It was a joke by the way. He told me that he meant what he said the first time.
Arsenal host Blackburn knowing that they are 8 points behind Man Utd so anything less than 3 points will be curtains for our title ambitions.
In the last 7 games Blackburn has played against us, they have conceded 25 goals. Paulinus Robinsinus has been more than generous to our cause. In our last home encounter against them, we drilled 6 past Robinsinus.
Starting with team news, Denilson is out with a toe problem while Rambo’s groin is giving him some issues. B52 and rVp will face late fitness tests but Fabregas, Walcott, Diaby and the African Blonde are back.
Blackburn are in 13th place but may be plunged down the pecking order in the league table because the relegation dogfight is a lot feistier than it has been. Blackburn has ambitions to stay in the league; we want to win it so we need to prove that we deserve to be champions.
AW the Alchemist has confirmed that he’ll stick to Almunia. I would write anything about the Almunia situation again. It’s becoming a cliché.
AW the Alchemist also asked about Wilshere’s participation in the European Under-21 Championships this summer. He fears that Wilshere will suffer the kind of burnout that cost Gilberto Silva his place in the 2007/08 campaign. He also said that the Whizkhid isn’t protected enough by the FA. It’s disappointing to know that a player who is rendering service to the senior side will still be used as an Under-21 international.
Walcott’s introduction to our squad is like a breath of fresh air. Whether he starts today or come in from the bench, his pace and clinical finishing would be important for us in our final surge for the title. He says,
“I think this year we’ve got that experience that any failures from the past won’t happen again. There’s confidence in the camp and I believe that we will be champions, I really do believe”
Since the Almunia situation has been settled, it’s now a sure thing that he’ll be between the sticks this evening. Farmer Eboue planted enough crops in Accra but Sagna will get the nod n the right back position. Clichy will start at the left back while that French center back pairing that struggled against WBA will be stationed again in the heart of our defense.
You do not need a soothsayer to tell who our holding midfielders will be: Song and the Whizkhid. Fabregas will resume his Mr. Creativity role behind the front 3.
Walcott’s introduction will be a cause for concern for AW the Alchemist but I feel that he’ll stick to AA23 and Nasri on the wings.
There’ll be only one name that can be mentioned for the position of the center forward. The scourge of Blackburn: Robin van Persie
Year after year and season after season, rVp arouses the fans with an orgasmic goal against Blackburn. The goal that took all Arsenal fans to climax was that amazing effort he scored in the 2005/06 season. After making a fool out of Robbie Savage and some wankhammer on the right hand side, he curled the ball magnificently past Brad Friedel that hit the inside of the post before going in. Such goals live forever in your memory. We won the game 3-0.
You can check out the picture of rVp scoring that orgasmic goal by clicking here
My expected lineup should be
Almunia
Sagna-Koscielny-Squisha-Clichy
Song-El Capitan-Wilshere
Nasri-rVp-AA23
All we need are 3 vital important points.
Enjoy the game wherever you are.
I’ll end today’s post with a column Chuck Bass found in BBC’s gossip column. It’s about Jose Moaninho sharing mutual affection emails with Blackpool’s Ian Holloway. It’s worth a read.
Here’s to a happier blog post tomorrow.
