Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa to have scouts watching highly-rated duo in Paris tonight

Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa will have scouts watching the Girona duo of Viktor Tsygankov and Miguel Gutierrez against Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League opener tonight.

The Gunners have their own Champions League opener to worry about on Thursday night when they will take on Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium.

However, the club’s recruitment team are continuing to work ahead of doing any potential incoming business in the January transfer window.

Arsenal signed Mikel Merino, Raheem Sterling and Neto in the summer transfer window but many feel it might not be enough to close down the gap with champions Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta might decide to dip into his funds in January and the club are working on identifying potential targets for the winter window.

According to CaughtoffSide, Viktor Tsygankov and Miguel Gutierrez are two players who have popped up on the radar of the north London club.

Arsenal facing Premier League competition in pursuit of the Girona duo

The Gunners will send scouts to watch the Girona duo in action against Paris Saint-Germain in the Parc des Princes in their Champions League opener tonight.

However, scouts from two more Premier League will also attend the big European game in Paris tonight.

Representatives from Liverpool and Aston Villa will also be at the Parc des Princes, running the rule over Tsygankov and Gutierrez during the game.

Ahead of the January transfer window, plans are being put in place and even Liverpool and Villa have their eyes on the two Girona players.

There are question marks over whether the Spanish club will be ready to sell two important players in the middle of the season and hurt their prospects.

However, it has been claimed that Girona will be open to business if they receive big offers on their table for either of the two or both.

A combined fee of €70m to €75m could convince Girona to sell both Tsygankov and Gutierrez in the January transfer window.
