Former Arsenal target spotted at the Emirates amidst rumours of potential exit

West Ham midfielder Mohammed Kudus was spotted at the Emirates during Arsenal’s win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

The Gunners beat last season’s Champions League semifinalists 2-0 with goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka. Havertz headed home from a lovely cross put in by Leandro Trossard to open the scoring, and Bukayo Saka scored from a free kick to seal the game.

Paris Saint-Germain looked toothless all night, and had no attacking edge, with the absence of key player Ousmane Dembele who was dropped by Luis Enrique.

Arsenal kept their second clean sheet in the Champions League and have four points ahead of their next game against Shaktar Donetsk in October.

Mohammed Kudus spotted at the Emirates

A post on Twitter/X showed the West Ham midfielder in attendance during the Champions League tie on Tuesday night.

Kudus was reportedly a target for the Gunners before he joined West Ham for £38.5million last summer.

After an incident that happened at West Ham this week, the midfielder’s appearance at the Emirates has sparked a lot of controversy.

But the visit to the Emirates might not be as controversial as it seems, just over the past week, Kudus mentioned that he is just discovering how big the Ghanaian community is in London. So it is very possible that he was just catching a game nearby.

“I didn’t know how big [the Ghanaian community] was until I got there, but it’s good to know there are a lot of my people around,” Kudus said in an interview.

Mohammed Kudus has a release clause that will be active in July 2025, and if the situation at West Ham doesn’t not change over the course of the season, the Ghanaian could possibly leave the club.

What happened between player and coach at West Ham this weekend

According to reports, Kudus and West Ham coach Julien Lopetegui got into a confrontation at half time during the Brentford game last weekend.

It is said that the midfielder did not take kindly to being singled out for criticism during the game.

West Ham eventually drew 1-1, and Julien Lopetegui came out in the press conference to say that some players at the club are not ‘playing for the team’ which may be referring to Mohammed Kudus:

“It was a tactical decision,”

“I was thinking we need that. I was thinking that was better for the team and we needed these kinds of changes. The second half we worked as a team,”

The Hammers are winless in their last five games, with pressure mounting on Julien Lopetegui.
