Arsenal stand third in the Premier League, just a point behind top placers Liverpool and on equal terms with Manchester City. Mikel Arteta and Co. will return against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on October 19th after the international break.
Things have been going well in terms of matches for The Gunners but Arteta is still concerned about the several injuries in the squad.
Takehiro Tomiyasu returned although playing quite a fringe role as the Japanese international came on in the 84th minute. He replaced Thomas Partey on the right flank as the latter did a great job off position.
Mikel Arteta has offered a new update regarding Martin Ødegaard’s injury
After recent scans, they’ve showed that he’s got some damage especially on one of the ligaments in the ankle. We’re going to miss him. It’s quite significant, so we’re going to lose him for a while.

The Spanish gaffer commented regarding Ødegaard’s injury after the clash against The Saints. The injury has turned out to be more significant than expected.
Martin will be out for a while now hence missing the international break is on the books. However, this will also allow the Norwegian to recover and prepare for the upcoming challenges post-international break.
Arsenal have adapted well to the situation as they have continued their unbeaten run in the English top-flight. Now, all eyes will be on Bournemouth as The Cherries will hope to salvage any points they get to move up the lower half of the table.
With the severity, Martin Ødegaard is expected to return by late October. He’ll probably miss the four upcoming clashes at the end of the month.
The Gunners will play four matches in under 14 days after the international break. Arteta will have to make sure to take extra care of his players to avoid any further derails.
