According to Caught Offside, the North Londoners are keen on signing Sporting Lisbon’s Geovany Quenda. However, there are also other clubs involved with Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea in the mix.
Outside England, Real Madrid, Paris-Saint Germain and Bayern Munich are awaiting their chance to pounce at the winger. Quenda’s release clause is set at £83 million which was recently increased during contract extension.
The Portugal U17 international was rated at £46 million before the appraisal and Arsenal would have happily agreed to pay that tag. However, things have changed and the Gunners will have to deal with the latest clause if they really want the winger.
All the interested clubs have sent in their scouts to review Quenda. The winger has received quite the reviews after his impeccable performances.
At only 17 years old, Geovany Quenda has already played 861 minutes for Sporting Lisbon’s senior side this season, and Arsenal can offer a straight pathway for the youngster under Mikel Arteta.
The Spanish manager has already promoted William Saliba and Bukayo Saka at the Emirates. Having such a coveted youngster will only add to the squad’s depth and future.

With United already interested, The Red Devils have gone as far as to inquire about the youngster. According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, the English giants have already made their move for the youngster.
Manchester United are rumoured to be interested in right-wingers at the moment. The January transfer window is still a few months away but Erik ten Hag seems to be moving on from Anthony.
The Brazilian winger hasn’t been as effective as his time at Ajax. Ten Hag had expected better but adding an injury to that has forced the Dutch manager to look elsewhere to secure the right flank.
