Fee revealed for potential major Arsenal transfer

Arsenal have been quoted a huge fee if they want to sign one of the Premier League’s top forwards next summer.

The Gunners made around €80million from the sales of Aaron Ramsdale, Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith Rowe this past summer. So there is enough in the bank if they want to splash the cash for a new signing.

Arsenal currently have six senior attackers in the first team squad, but this season, only three of them have contributed on the pitch.

Leandro Trossard, Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz have scored nine of Arsenal’s 17 Premier League goals this season.

In the absence of Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka (for a brief period), the gunners found it hard to score or create. In Arsenal’s last three games, they have only scored one open play goal.

Arsenal have been linked with Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo. The Cameroon international has eight league goals this season, second behind Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.

The Telegraph report that Brentford will be looking for around £50million for the Cameroon international.

The 25-year old has stepped up for the club since the start of last season. With Ivan Toney serving a long suspension, Mbeumo became the main source of goals for the team. Toney left Brentford this summer, and Mbeumo has only gotten better.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank has been pleased with how well Mbeumo has been performing this season:

“I hope they do that. How many goals is it now, eight in nine games? That’s hugely impressive from a winger in a team in the middle of the Premier League, that’s not normal.”

Last season, the forward had nine goals and six assists in the Premier League as Brentford finished in 16th place.

Will Mikel Arteta sign £50m rated player?

At the end of the season, Raheem Sterling will return to his parent club Chelsea. Reiss Nelson will also come back to Arsenal.

Gabriel Jesus has also found himself on the fringes of the first team this season. The Brazilian had a bid from a top club rejected this summer.

If Arsenal are able to move Nelson and Jesus, they would have enough to fund a move for Mbeumo. The Brentford man fills a lot of positions with his versatility. He would also reduce the goal scoring burden on Bukayo Saka.
