However, there have been some standout performers in the squad, and one can’t look no further than the output Ethan Nwaneri put in the 5-1 decimation of Bolton Wanderers. Nwaneri also featured in the victory over Preston North End in the EFL Cup Fourth Round and scored a peach of a goal in the 3-0 victory.
Fans had clamored for the Arsenal youngster to feature consistently in the side, especially when Martin Odegaard was out injured but Mikel Arteta dampened those expectations, giving the youngster a handful of appearances and he did well in the cameos.

According to Gooner Talk, Arsenal are looking to secure a new long-term contract for Nwaneri. This is considered as a priority for the club to show their faith in the youngster, tying him down for his best years ahead.
Nwaneri has been very outstanding and his potential is there for all to see, and we can’t wait for more excellent performances from the lad. He has been knocking for a place in the side and has done very well with the chances afforded to him, which cannot be said for the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling.
We will see how this progresses and hope he signs the new contract as soon as possible.
