I’ll like to call on all Nigerian Gooners that have a passion for writing about Arsenal Football Club. A pal of mine called Toks (or @HexyDre as he’s known on Twitter) is about to launch an online community of Nigerian gooners in a form of a blog called WaZoBia Gooners.
It’s a blog whose basic features would be pre-match analysis and post-match report for every Arsenal match. Added to that could be anything that gets sent by any of the blog’s contributors – Arsenal news, inside Arsenal gist, Arsenal transfer gossip and speculations, Arsenal videos and pictures, personal Arsenal stories etc. Anything Arsenal-Nigeria related.
As a proud Nigerian and fellow Arsenal blogger, I’m part of the team that wants to make this happen and I also want to use this medium to call on great Nigerian bloggers and Arsenal experts like Yemi Jr. (@q_e_d_14, a writer in a brilliant Arsenal blog called Memoirs of a Gooner), Femisoro Ajayi (@Femisoro, the owner of a good Arsenal blog called Talking Arsenal FC), Victor Imuokhuede (@thegreengooner, owner of a great Arsenal blog called the Green Gooner), Arsenal Effect and Arsenal Nigeria Blog.
I also know some aspiring sports writers that can contribute immensely to this initiative like Mayowa Martins Oni (@mayorbaze), Prince Alaketu Nasru (@sniqs) and Debo (@dhebbur).
There are some gooners I follow on Twitter that can contribute to this cause to because of their expert analysis and in-depth knowledge of the club and I’ll like them to give it a shot. They include gooners like Chiagozie Bobby (@dkingpin), Obinna Edeh (@Obitwyce), Victor Eziyi (@davicky1), Chuks Egbuche (@ChuksBass), Daygee (@DaygeeDr) and Igbafe Onuwa (@omomo14).
I won’t also mind seeing articles from ChiEbuka Nworah because he has this knack for bringing up great articles from rare sources.
If you’re name isn’t among the aforementioned names above and you feel that you can join this cause, click on my contact page and you’ll see the right medium to contact me. Whether is through an email, Facebook, Twitter, Skype or Yahoo Messenger, I’m your man. Also try to contact Toks (@HexyDre) through Twitter or his splendid website Hexy State of Mind.
Please remember to find your niche about Arsenal from the list and work with it (pre-match analysis, post-match report, Arsenal daily news, inside Arsenal gist, Arsenal videos and pictures, personal Arsenal stories etc. Anything Arsenal-Nigeria related.
Dunno know about you, but I’ll strictly be writing my posts on that site in Pidgin English and if you don’t like it here’s a list of things that you can do:
- You can like to french kiss a cobra

- You can like to dance *windeck* on Mike Adenuga’s Glo building in Adeola Odeku

When the site is ready, I and Toks will let you know.
Till then, keep contacting us because we await you.
