So a day like this comes just once a year so I have to enjoy it to the fullest.
Yes, I’m that guy who’s birthday tends to fall on days international tournaments like World Cups and Euros start.
Here’s my birthday Arsenal wishlist
Sign a Striker!!!!
Dear Wenger,
We really like Olivier Giroud. The ladies know he’s cute and all. Scores a couple too but his goal drought every season is becoming a stuff of legends. On days when nobody else wants to turn up, the burden is too much to bear for him. Please sign a striker that would provide some competition and assistance to him. I would love it.
Can the Injuries Just Stop Reduce?
It something we struggle with season in season out. For some strange reason, our players tend to suffer lengthy layoffs anytime they’re crocked. Last season, injury regulars like Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky and Mikel Arteta had new toys to play with in forms of Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin. It seems like those injuries won’t stop but can they reduce it, that would be nice.
More Goals at the Emirates
Last season, teams defended so deep at the Emirates and came off with clean sheets. If the most average goalkeepers looked like Manuel Neuer when they visited the home of football. That nonsense has to stop this season.
A Center Back… Maybe
I’m not really hell bent on getting a center back though. Gabriel Paulista is still a gem with some rough edges but with more experience he has the potential to become a fantastic footballer. However, Per Mertesacker is on the wane, so it would be nice to see if some succession plan is in place or something.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan
23 goals and 24 assists in a season is no fluke, especially when he has a year left on his contract. Please sign him up!!!!!!
That pretty much it.
Happy Birthday to me and those Gemini Gooners out there
