The Athletic has reported that Arsenal has reached an agreement with Ajax Amsterdam to sign Jurrien Timber from the Dutch EreDivisie outfit. Timber is going to add some massive depth and quality to the defense and with this agreement reached with Ajax, he will be set to conduct his medicals ahead of the move to the Emirates.

Following the total agreement reached with West Ham, Declan Rice is set to go for his medicals ahead of his blockbuster move to Arsenal, but his move has also paved the way for Granit Xhaka to travel to Germany for his medicals ahead of his imminent move to Bayer Leverkusen.

Xhaka served the club very well for the last seven years and his influence and leadership will be missed at the club. He also had his best outlay with us from an output perspective last season, with Oleksandr Zinchenko’s arrival in midfield from the left back slot, allowing him to make forays forward that saw him score seven goals in the Premier League.

It is believed that Kai Havertz is the heir apparent to Xhaka’s role but Rice is equally adept at the left 8 role but we are very excited to have Rice and Timber join the club imminently.

With their arrivals, Arsenal can focus on some departures and we will monitor them in the coming days and weeks.

Sayonara.
