Fulham Preview: Time to Return to Winning Ways

Arsenal’s last visit to Craven Cottage was very successful with Leandro Trossard stealing the show with a hattrick of assists, as the Gunners were riding high at the top of the Premier League table.

Arsenal is still within the upper echelons of the division this season but the form of some of the standout players from last season has waivered and the expectation is for them to replicate it.

While Bukayo Saka still has decent numbers I’m terms of his current output this season, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard haven’t reached the stellar heights they created in the previous campaign. Gabriel Jesus’ profligacy was on show in the West Ham loss and the ‘Arsenal need a striker’ narratives were in full force yet again.

Fulham is a team that has shown some consistency this season and they have garnered some big results at home with the back to back 5-0 wins against Nottingham Forest and West Ham coming to mind.

There is also the issue of ex-Gunner, Bernd Leno, that tends to put up blinders every time we take on Fulham.

We need to return to winning ways and return to the summit of the division which will put some pressure on Liverpool ahead of their clash with Newcastle tomorrow.

Here’s to a good result today.
