Manchester United and Arsenal have played many epic encounters in the past, but tonight’s game is not expected to have the usual intensity associated to these clashes. Both sides will be looking to build the fitness of their players, with Arsenal welcoming back the trio of Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel to the fold after their international sojourns in the summer.
It seems like the feel-good factor is back with Manchester United, with the acquisition of new signings, Joshua Zirkzee and the highly-rated youngster, Lenny Yoro. Yoro recently got some minutes in the club’s recent friendly victory over Glasgow Rangers and I’m sure he’d be itching to play with the big boys when he locks horns against Arsenal tonight. The Gunners got their preseason campaign underway with a penalty shootout victory over Bournemouth, and Mikel Arteta will want his lads to be at their best behavior, especially with the executives watching the game in their home ground.
To team news, I’d expect a more familiar lineup against Manchester United, but I’m sure that the youngins will get their opportunities at some point in the match. It’s just a wide guess because Arteta can decide to play youngsters like Ayden Heavem Salah ‘Oulad M’Hand and Ethan Nwaneri from the onset yet again. This game would be too soon for the Gabis, but they might get some minutes from the bench.
