La Liga giants interested in Arsenal star

Arsenal has started their Premier League campaign with an indifferent form, stemming from a combination of indiscipline and injuries, but the club stayed close to the leading pack after a grueling 2-2 draw with Liverpool.

With the club shifting gears to EFL Cup action against Preston North End tonight, head coach, Mikel Arteta has provided some injury updates on some key players, as Arsenal prepares for some away day cup action. As expected, Arteta will be expected to rotate the squad like how he did in the resounding win over Bolton, so we should expect a start from leading striker, Gabriel Jesus.

Gabriel Jesus has found goals hard to come by and this atrocious scoring record stretches back to January 2024. In addition to the poor scoring record in front of goal, Gabriel Jesus has had a terrible injury record, which eventually saw the Brazilian forward lose his place in the starting lineup to Kai Havertz.

According to Spanish media outfit, Fichajes, Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Gabriel Jesus. This would be a great move for the player and club, as he has clearly fallen out of favor with Mikel Arteta and Arsenal will be looking to cash in on the 45 million pounds paid for him a couple of seasons ago.

Gabriel Jesus will be a better fit in a La Liga club, as they favor technical ability over England’s fast paced style. His versatility will also come in handy for a club like Atletico Madrid, and his work rate will be highly favored by Diego Simeone.

We will monitor the situation in the coming months and I’m certain that the fans wouldn’t lose sleep if Gabriel Jesus walks through the exit doors of the Emirates.
