Arsenal urged to sign £75 million star

Arsenal are certainly on the hunt for a center forward this January, and many forwards have been linked with moves to the club.

Juventus’ talismanic forward, Dusan Vlahovic, has been reported as a potential acquisition, and with his brilliant goalscoring form, Arsenal fans will be loving the idea of having him in our ranks. However, he might require some adaptation period and with Mikel Arteta battling with Pep Guardiola and Arne Slot for the Premier League title, Arsenal would prefer a Premier League-tested forward.

Alexander Isak fits that bill, but Newcastle’s asking price is astronomical, somewhere around 100 million pounds, which is a constraint in itself. With the Gunners seeking a new forward, the club has been urged by former captain, Patrick Vieira, to sign a certain super sub from Aston Villa.

Speaking with Betting Expert, Vieira waxed lyrical on Jhon Duran and wants his former club, Arsenal, to sign the Aston Villa forward.

‘I loved his performance against Bayern Munich. He’s the right player for Arsenal – quick, unselfish, solid in the air, technically skilled, and intelligent in his movement.’

‘The question is whether Arsenal can reach their goals with a genuine goalscorer or a false No.9.

‘Havertz has performed well since the season’s start and has the potential to fill that role. But as Manchester City have shown, having a pure striker like Haaland makes winning games easier.’

With Gabriel Jesus finally scoring his first goal in 25 games, Arsenal has still relied on Kai Havertz to lead the line, but as Vieira rightly mentioned, the Gunners can do with a ‘pure’ center forward, and Duran fits that bill.
