Arsenal make Premier League star their top target

Arsenal has failed to score in their last two Premier League games, with a loss to Bournemouth followed with a narrow defeat to Newcastle United

Gabriel Jesus has been very disappointing in Arsenal’s attack and clearly lost his place to Kai Havertz, but the German lanky forward isn’t a certified center forward, and despite the fact that he has been very consistent for the Gunners with his attacking output, Arsenal can still do with a renowned striker leading the line.

Arsenal could do with a recognized center forward in their ranks and the club has been linked with a couple of Premier League forwards. Antoine Semenyo scored a beautiful goal in Bournemouth’s emphatic win over Manchester City. He has been linked with a move to North London, and would provide great competition for places in the squad.

Football365 has reported that Arsenal has offered £100 million to Newcastle for their talisman, Alexander Isak. Isak is an established striker in the Premier League and has been very prolific for the Magpies, scoring 21 goals in 27 starts for Eddie Howe’s men last season. Isak has been phenomenal for Newcastle since completing his big money move from Real Sociedad a couple of seasons ago.

Signing a super star striker like Isak will be a huge statement by the club and he would certainly be a starter for the Gunners, which will see Havertz deployed back to midfield to compete with the likes of Mikel Merino. The asking price of 100 million pounds is quite steep, but sometimes you need to break bank for what you want, like what Arsenal did with Declan Rice last season.

When the Gunners played Newcastle last weekend, Isak scored a well-taken header and showed his mettle, proving his worth in attack.

An audition perhaps?
